As predicted by the weather forecast, the wind was gusting as my alarm went off ahead of the Saturday club run - I knew in my heart it was going to be a no go.
I was right too, it wasn't a safe option for groups riding out on the road together - but fear not, as I had a back up plan.
I reached for the DHST Conch and sounded the call to dirt - with assembly at the legendary 9:18am - Gravel time!
This gave me the perfect opportunity to shoot a video for the channel too - as the Gary fisher 650b conversion was as yet untested.
So we assembled and headed out in search of climbs and muddy trails - which we duly found, along with coffee and bacon.
Spoiler alert, but the bike was almost faultless, and I know I'm tooting my own horn, but boy can I make a good looking and riding bike.
The video review will be coming soon, so stay tuned!
